STAMP ART & PROPAGANDA
POLITICAL ART IN THE PUBLIC SPHERE
This body of satirical work began in 2001 after Sept 11. At that time, the propaganda machine in the US went into overdrive. This work is based off of Germany's propaganda posters of WWII. With the slightest augmentation it becomes easy to see the talking points of old are being regurgitated as new. Ironically, now in 2017, it would appear that we are growing even more fascist with Trump's advisors like Steve Bannon and Sebastian Gorka.
The Passport of the future
The last in this series is The Passport of the Future. This satirical piece expresses the Orwellian future in the form of a legal document. This work was the recipient of the Illinois Governor's Collegiate Award in Printmaking.
